Before I left for work today…. I filled Harlet’s bowl of food as quickly as I could and shook it for her so that she would come out excitedly the way she normally does. She normally meowed like she had been starving but this time she didn’t come out. I found it kinda weird and I remember thinking to myself “Wow, it looks empty in here. Where is she?” But I had to leave because I was running late.
At midnight, I walk into my apartment. Andy has been sobbing and I know someone died. He’s choking on the words and can’t let them out. I’m scared that his mom died or someone in his family. I was so scared.
“Harlet stopped breathing…”
Harlet died. She came out here meowing at him. She kept meowing and he tried helping her. But she started panting after laying down flat and she was having trouble breathing.. He tried to help her breath. But She took her last breath today… Harlet is dead… I don’t know what to do with myself right now. I want to tell people but I don’t. I figure just posting this will explain to everyone without me having to repeat it. May 29, 2012. RIP Harlet. I’m gonna miss you so much…
